General Intern Expectations: Interns will be asked to build sets, paint, move furniture and equipment, do marketing/public relations, stage lighting and sound work, work with the children’s theatre camp, and other duties as assigned. We expect that all Interns will be professional in their conduct and demeanor. Interns will be interacting with over 100+ volunteers and additional volunteer family members during the service period and should be keenly aware they are being viewed as a representative of the Lyric. Flexibility and purposeful positive spirit will be good trademarks of our summer interns.
General Expectation of the Lyric: Direction will come from the Executive Committee of the Lyric Performing Arts Company: Eric Evans (Managing Director,) Dr. Nancy Jo Humfeld (Artistic Director) and Billie Harvey (Technical Director.) We will be diligent to recognize abilities and desires within the Interns and look to focus on those strengths when possible. We will do our best to help train and encourage on a daily basis so that the experience during the summer is the best it can be.
