About This Production:
Little Shop of Horrors is a darkly comedic musical about Seymour, a meek floral assistant who discovers a strange and exotic plant he names Audrey II. The plant promises fame and fortune—but at a deadly cost. As Audrey II grows, so does its appetite… for human blood. With a Motown-inspired score and outrageous humor, this cult classic explores ambition, morality, and what we’re willing to sacrifice for success.

What You'll Learn:
In this audition workshop, participants will gain insight into the creative vision behind the upcoming production and what the director looks for in auditions. Through guided exercises, practical instruction, and performance-focused coaching, students will strengthen their audition technique, storytelling skills, and confidence in the audition room.
Each workshop is tailored to the style and demands of the specific show, offering actors valuable tools they can carry into future auditions—both at the Lyric and beyond.
Meet Your Instructor: Shannon Lee
Shannon Lee has been acting and directing for over 30 years, with more than two decades spent teaching Technical Theatre, Acting, Musical Theatre, and Play Production. Her students have earned numerous state and national honors and have performed internationally at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Shannon is now the owner of Texas Theatrical Supply Co., providing costumes, sets, and props to theatres nationwide. She has directed numerous successful productions at the Lyric and is passionate about mentoring performers and designers at every stage of their theatrical journey.
