AUDITION WORKSHOP: DEATHTRAP

When: Tuesday, February 3, 2026

Time: 6:30pm

About This Production:
Part murder mystery, part dark comedy, and full of surprises—Deathtrap keeps audiences guessing from start to finish! A once-successful playwright will do anything to have another hit… even if it means murder. Smart, suspenseful, and wickedly funny, this Broadway thriller is filled with twists that will leave you on the edge of your seat (and laughing nervously all the way home).

Roles:
Sidney Bruhl: Male 45–69 (Ego-driven, charming, manipulative)
Clifford Anderson: Male 20s–30s (Attractive, youthful, cunning)
Myra Bruhl: Female 40–60 (Supportive, sweet, emotionally vulnerable)
Helga ten Dorp: Female 30+ (Eccentric, dramatic, psychic)
Porter Milgrim: Male 30+ (Professional, cautious, rational)

What You'll Learn:
In this audition workshop, participants will gain insight into the creative vision behind the upcoming production and what the director looks for in auditions. Through guided exercises, practical instruction, and performance-focused coaching, students will strengthen their audition technique, storytelling skills, and confidence in the audition room.

Each workshop is tailored to the style and demands of the specific show, offering actors valuable tools they can carry into future auditions—both at the Lyric and beyond!
